Welcome to Career Portal

Metro’s Information and Technology Services and Human Capital and Development departments are excited to announce the launch of a new applicant tracking system called Career Portal.


This document outlines how to access Career Portal.  You may also refer to the links on the right-hand side to view the tutorials. 


To get started…


  • What browser should I use to access Career Portal?

Career Portal is best viewed using Google Chrome, Firefox, or Microsoft Edge. 


  • How do I login to Career Portal?

If you are a Metro employee:

You will be able to automatically log in to Career Portal using this link.


If you are logging in to Career Portal outside of Metro’s network, you will be prompted to enter your Metro network credentials (e.g. SmithJ@metro.net) and password to access the link.


If you are not a Metro employee:

Click on the following link: Career Portal


  • How do I apply for a job?

Once you have clicked on the Career Portal link and have logged in, click on the job title, then click “Apply for Job”.


Upon clicking “Apply for Job”, a “Privacy Agreement” page will appear. To apply for the job, you must select “I Accept”. You will not be able to proceed to the application if you select “I Decline”.


The next page will be the application. You will be able to upload your resume and parse information onto your profile.  Please review the parsed information for accuracy and completeness.


Once you complete all the application steps, review and submit.


  • What should I expect once I have submitted my application?

Upon successful completion and submission of your application, you will receive a system generated email confirming your submission.  


If you do not receive this confirmation email, check your spam folder, or return to Career Portal to confirm your submission.


  • How do I check the status of my application?

Upon successful submission of your application, you can sign into your Career Portal profile to view the status of your application at any time.


  • How do I make edits to my profile?

              Sign into your account and select Go to Profile link.


Once you are logged in, you are free to make changes to your personal information such as your email address, password, resume, and more.


  • If I have a profile in Metro Applicant Tracking System (MATS), will I need to create a new profile in Career Portal?

Yes, you will need to create a new profile.


MATS will be available for other positions. If you applied in MATS, then your application will continue to be processed in MATS.


  • How can I receive additional information or assistance?
